SEXUAL ABUSE COUNSELLING

support for survivors of sexual abuse

SEXUAL ABUSE COUNSELLING

Alongside our work with Domestic Abuse we are now offering specialist counselling support for women, men and those identifying as male or female, young people (boys and girls) aged 16 years and over who have been victims of sexual abuse/violence/rape and/or current/historic child sexual abuse living in Breckland, Norfolk.

We are currently receiving self-referrals from those who live in Breckland, Norfolk.

Our services are free to clients and we offer up to 18 sessions of therapy with a fully qualified, registered therapist at our hub in Watton.

Due to the pandemic we have adapted our services to include a mixture of remote and face-to-face provision.

We offer day and 2 late evening appointments from Monday to Friday and offer a non-judgemental service.

The hardest thing is making the initial contact and we understand that.  Our work in the area of Domestic Abuse has highlighted to us how hard the first contact is.  We really do appreciate this.

We work to the BACP Ethical Framework (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).

All referrals undergo a robust assessment so we can work with the individual to provide counselling that’s right for them and includes them at every point.

Please get in touch if you are:

  • ready to take that first step and make changes in your life

  • want to build on your strengths and learn new coping skills

  • can attend regularly and actively engage in the counselling process

We cannot however provide:

  • crisis and out-of-hours support

  • a refuge or drop-in centre

  • medication or mental health diagnosis

  • emergency medical care

  • couples counselling or family therapy

  • helpline support
